Graphius Group has acquired Waregem-based Cassochrome. Cassochrome is one of the most internationally respected printers in the production of high-end books on the topics of art, design, fashion and architecture. As of 3 April, Cassochrome’s operations will proceed on Graphius Ghent’s premises, allowing them to take advantage of economies of scale and an excellent in-house bookbindery.
Denis Geers, Graphius Group CEO:
“The acquisition of Cassochrome is a move that follows careful deliberation and one will broaden our presence in the art sector. Indeed, the company has an established reputation for producing high-quality art books for an international clientele. The company has a lot of know-how with regard to exactly this sort of reproduction with the use of an incredibly fine digital dot pattern. We will be able to deploy this on a larger scale.”
Led by Laurence Soens, the Cassochrome team will continue to trade under the existing brand name and will gain access to the group’s high-performance machinery and integrated bookbindery.
Laurence Soens:
“The alliance between Graphius and Cassochrome will prove essential in the long term for our employees, our customers and our suppliers. The need for a high-performance in-house bookbindery for our book productions is greater than ever before. We have been talking to the Geers family for some time and have built a relationship of trust in that time. The cultures of Graphius and Cassochrome are very closely aligned, both attaching value to their various stakeholders. It is for this reason that my staff and I are very excited to be part of Graphius Group and are very much looking forward to working together.”
